The following is my setup:
Apache 2.0.55
SVN 1.2.3
JDK 1.5.0
Tomcat 5.5.9
I copied the jstl.jar and standard.jar into the WEB-INF/lib directory
The initial setup looks good. I get the login screen and when I try to login with my user mcoXXXXXX the screen just refreshes back to the login screen. In the Apache error log I see:
[Fri Feb 03 09:53:22 2006] [error] [client X.X.X.X] user not found: /svn/dw/trunk
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Bill.
Username is not getting submitted to SVN repository
Dear Bill,
It looks like definition of invalid credentials. We can clarify this point together if you will provide more info:
1. Do you able to access the same resources using any other SVN client (or just Web Browser)?
2. Please verify if RepositoryUrl parameter is correctly defined in web.xml
3. Please verify if Username and Password parameters are correctly defined in web.xml
4. Please take a look to Tomcat log. Are there any exceptions?
We are working right now on problems detection improvement, so new version, which will be released this week contain code, which help is such situations.

me too...
I have the same problem, login prompt just keeps reappearing.
Sometimes I see the message "user not found" in the apache log, but more often
I don't see anything. There's not message in the tomcat log (how do I configure
svnwebclient's log4j, by the way? Where does it drop its logfile?).
Hey this is the second opensource tool from Polarion that will just do nothing for me
the other was svnimporter. Am I the only one with such bad luck? Do their free
tools work for anyone out there at all or are they just a marketing gag??

Re: Username is not getting submitted to SVN repository
WebClient was designed to work in 2 environments - as embedded application or as standalone application. It is included into Polarion DPP as embedded application, but you download from site the standalone version. If you checkout from SVN the Eclipse project you will see compilation errors, because by default the source code is prepared for distribution with Polarion. The only thing, what you need to do in order to have standalone version compiled is remove SVNWebClient\src\contrib\polarion from source path and include SVNWebClient\src\contrib\standalone to it.
