mod_dav_svn or svnserve?

Postby chris » Mon Apr 10, 2006 3:57 am

dear all,

I want to know which way you select as the web access way to the repository,
mod_dav_svn or svnserve?
and what are the differences between the two ways?

Hi,

suggest, that you have a look on this comparison table, before you make a decision:
http://svnbook.red-bean.com/nightly/en/svn.serverconfig.html#svn.serverconfig.overview

I like to add one or two lines to this comparison:
Apache: I have the feeling that WebDAV, which is an extension of HTTP protocol, scales more in larger environments.
Apache: HTTP (WebDAV) is firewall friendly.
