Share existing projects under Linux

Postby Vince » Mon Mar 05, 2007 2:02 pm

Hi !

We have discovered a serious issue when sharing a project that has been disconnected from CVS and that has to be shared in our svn repository that already own the project:

When we share it, the warning message box tells us that the projects already exists in the repository appears, which seems to be fine. But when we choose 'yes', the checkout starts and it erases ALL the files with the latest revision, even those that have been locally modified and that have differences with the repository.

Of course, only the files that have never been added to the repository remain the same after the share.

It's always reproducible.

Here's our environment of development:
Eclipse 3.2.2
Subversive RC6 with SVN Kit 1.1.1
Linux Fedora 5 and 6

We have also tried with eclipse 3.2.1 and subversive RC5, and the issue is reproducible too.

Everything works fine under windows, but half of our team use a linux platform.

Dear Vincent,

Thank you for reporting the bug. We will check it and fix in the Subversive version 1.1.1 (1.1.0 will come in few days and it will not contain corresponding changes).
Best regards,
Alexander Gurov
Subversive Team
