PDF Mime Type

Postby liamrocker » Thu Jul 13, 2006 5:20 pm

when clicking on a pdf in any directory, some pdf´s are opened correctly with the browser-plugin so one can view the document. In other cases, pdf´s are opened with some kind of svn web clients internal text viewer and the pdf is displayed as plain text (source of the pdf). I can´t see any differences between files that behave different. Filename ends with .pdf (lower case) and opening the pdf in an external application works with both files.

Any idea which property could cause this difference?

Dear Sebastian,

Could you please tell me is there any difference in file sizes between "opened as PDF" and "opened as a text"? By what SVN client (WebClient, TortoiseSVN, some other) were committed "opened as PDF" and "opened as a text" files?

This issue looks like problem with text/binary type detection. Please provide me requested info and then I can tell you more exactly. Thank you.
Best regards,
