Serveral UI problems on Intel based Macs

Postby bchris22 » Wed Dec 06, 2006 9:45 am

Hi,

There are several UI problems in Fasttrack on Intel based Macs.

Version information:

Fasttrack: 1.0.0
Eclipse: 3.2.1 Build: 20060921-0945
SWT: 3.2.1.v3235e
OSX: 10.4.8 Build 8L2127

Problems are:
  • In the workitem editor the Browser widget you're using to display the details is placed on top of all other screen elements and it stays at that place even when you scroll the workitem-editor.
  • In the Create Workitem Dialog the layout functionality does not work correctly as some widgets are too small.

We are heavily interested in using FastTrack and maybe the Polarion Server itself, but OSX support is crucial for us.

Kind regard,
benno

Hello.

Looks like a defect in FastTrack, I created a defect for it. Thank you for your report.

Just wanted to add that these issues exist on PPC Macs as well:

FastTrack 1.0.0
Eclipse 3.2.1 Build id: M20060921-0945
Mac OS X 10.4.8 (8L127)

I'll add that the tracker navigator lays on top of the other windows when you load the dashboard. Also, the dropdown boxes, like "Assignee" are only about 4 px high - so that the field contents are not visible.

Do you have any other problems with SWT components on your Macs? I mean using different tools in your eclipse.

We are using no native components, the system works well for many different windows, linux distributions.

Can't remember of any SWT problems on Mac so far. For example we are using SWT Designer on Mac without any problems.

Best regards,
benno
