"Update SVN Cache" after every commit?

Postby pnoeric » Sun Mar 02, 2008 8:37 pm

I have a large project which I've set up using Subversive, and I'm running into an interesting issue:

1. I change one file
2. I commit that one file
3. The commit action itself is very quick ...
4. but after the commit, Subversive says "Updating SVN Cache" and takes about 20 seconds to do so!

During that 20 seconds I can't do other actions (such as moving to another file, editing it and clicking save... as soon as I press save, my "save" action is queued behind the updating SVN cache so I'm stuck just sitting there looking at the dialog box...)

This is really frustrating :-) Is this normal behavior? Is there a way to change this in the Subversive preferences? Unfortunately if I can't make that delay go away, it will force me to move back to CVS, which I would hate to do.

thank you very much,
Eric
