Tag multiple projects in a single transaction?

Postby szeiger » Mon Mar 19, 2007 11:35 am

We often need to create tags and branches of our entire trunk. This is easy to do in Subversive by selecting all projects in the trunk from the SVN Repositories view and performing New -> Tag on them, but that way Subversive creates n+1 revisions for n projects. With 27 projects in the trunk this is unacceptable.

Is there any way to do this in one transaction in Subversive? I can select the trunk instead of the projects and create a tag from there but then I get tags/tagname/trunk/projects instead of tags/tagname/projects and Subversive still needs two transactions.

I'm basically looking for something like "svn cp svn://svn/repo/trunk svn://svn/repo/tags/tagname" with the command line client. Is this supported in Subversive?

(Ideally it should also work with only a subset of the projects in the trunk but I don't know if that's supported by Subversion.)
