Can SVN web client deal with file locks?

Postby adamf » Thu Jun 29, 2006 12:21 pm

Dear All,

I am very impressed with SVN web client so far but I have a question:

Our main repository consists of XML model files (XMI, HL7 MIF etc) & these are completely unsuitable for merging so we have gone for the file locking route i.e. when the file is opened it is locked so that noone else can editi it.

I have been looking around in the web client & I can not see if file locking (e.g. locking a file, stealing a lock etc) is implemented anywhere.

Is file locking/unlocking/lock stealing implemented?

Dear Adam,

Thank you for nice words about WebClient.
The current version of WebClient doesn't supported locks management. We have this task in our plans for next versions, but unfortunately I can't say when exactly it will be implemented.

In order to speed-up things it will be great if someone in community can help us with this feature development. Community can rely on my support and guide through development approaches.
Best regards,
