Delete Selected Files

Postby bniknar » Sat Dec 20, 2008 8:57 am

Hello,

I have the 3.1.0 client setup and operational. However: I cannot delete files or directories. Mousing over the Delete icon produces nothing (it displays a tiny tag "Delete Selected Files" but doesn't do anything else); clicking on the Delete icon doesn't to anything at all. Everything else is fully functional. How do I fix this?

My config:
-- web.conf is set for ParentRepositoryDirectory
-- Apache is authenticating via LDAP
-- JVM is 1.5.0_09-b03
-- Tomcat is 5.5.20

The Bug is in Line 88 of DirectoryContentBean.java
urlGenerator = UrlGeneratorFactory.getUrlGenerator("javascript:checkDelete()", this.requestHandler.getLocation());

The javascript functions needs no location!!!

Thank you for the information. Unfortunately I am not a java programmer -- I use SVN to track complex customer config files. Is there any way that you could post/upload/point to a compiled WAR with the bug addressed?

Thanks again! --Brian

I am just wondering if this bug has been fixed, or any plan/time frame as to when there will be a fix for it. Thanks.

I came across this problem when we upgraded to version 3.1. Here is my fix:

1. Open file src\java\org\polarion\svnwebclient\web\controller\directory\DirectoryContentBean.java.
2. Replace line 88 and 89 with the following line:

ret.add(new Button("javascript:checkDelete()", Images.DELETE, "Delete selected elements"));

3. Save it and rebuild.

If you don't want to build the entire war file by yourself, you can unzip the war file and replace the DirectoryContentBean.class with the fixed one. I can provide the class file I compiled if anyone is interested.

This problem only occurs in multiple repository mode.
