NPE while reading in 207 Multi-status response from Apache

Postby richiethom » Mon Dec 05, 2011 4:39 pm

Hi

I am trying to configure the Polarion SVN Client to access multiple SVN repositories through the SVN WebDav module. Polarion is failing with a NullPointerException after getting a DAV 207 Multi-status response:

Code: Select all

HTTP/1.1 207 Multi-Status
Date: Mon, 05 Dec 2011 16:10:59 GMT
Server: Apache/2.2.3 (Red Hat)
Content-Length: 156
Connection: close
Content-Type: text/xml; charset="utf-8"

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<D:multistatus xmlns:D="DAV:" xmlns:ns1="http://subversion.tigris.org/xmlns/dav/" xmlns:ns0="DAV:">
</D:multistatus>

Here is the top of the stack trace:

Code: Select all

java.lang.NullPointerException
   at org.tmatesoft.svn.core.internal.io.dav.handlers.DAVPropertiesHandler.endElement(DAVPropertiesHandler.java:158)
   at org.tmatesoft.svn.core.internal.io.dav.handlers.BasicDAVHandler.endElement(BasicDAVHandler.java:70)

I will happily provide more information but am just about to leave for the day so wanted to post the essentials just in case someone else had this problem.

I'm running JDK 1.6.0_18, Tomcat 6.0.14 and Apache 2.2.3.

Thanks in advance for any ideas/help/etc!

Rich

Hi Rich,

from the exception trace it looks like SVN-connector failing to interprete DAV response.
What version of SVN are you using?
Also what mod do you use in Apache to provide HTTP access to SVN?

Best regards,
Nick

Hey,

I have the same problem with the same environment.
On the server is subversion 1.6.12 installed and I am using mod_dav with the svn extension for providing HTTP access.

Did you removed the sources from the webclient? I can't find them in the community Polarion anymore.

Best Regards

Oh okay, thanks, but the projects are removed from the community Polarion?

Hi,
no, no.
I found repo URL from Polarion UI. So obviously some permissions don't allow you to see this project.
I'll check with our Admins what's going on.

Best regards,
Nick
