Hi Group

I'm new to both Subversion and to the SVN web client. I need some help in setting up SVN and the web client to have read-only access and then project-specific accounts with write access. Grateful for any guidance.

Thanks

Pete

Hi Pete,

Assuming a vanilla setup, you can accomplish this by editing the conf/svnserve.conf and conf/passwd files in your SVN repository (i.e., the one you created with svnadmin). Editing the files should be pretty straightforward. If you encounter problems, reply back with specifics and we'll try to help you resolve them.

Best wishes,
Denny

Hi,

I would like to know how to add multiple username to the web.xml of svnwebclient.
I tried :

Code: Select all

    <context-param>
        <param-name>Username</param-name>
        <param-value>user1</param-value>
    </context-param>
    <context-param>
        <param-name>Password</param-name>
        <param-value>password1</param-value>
    </context-param>
    <context-param>
        <param-name>Username</param-name>
        <param-value>user2</param-value>
    </context-param>
    <context-param>
        <param-name>Password</param-name>
        <param-value>password2</param-value>
    </context-param>

But it doesn't work.

Any idea ?

Thanks in advance.

Seems like other registred users can log in even if only one user account has been set up in svnwebclient web.xml.
Why ? What is the user in web.xml for ? Why don't other users need to appear in this file ?
