How to show document properties in the side bar by default?

Postby yongpyojang » Thu Mar 14, 2019 1:32 pm

Hi, there

I made a URL that shows document with signature side bar expanded as following screen shot.
The URL ( ex. ~project/elibrary/wiki/Specification/Administration%20Specification?sidebar=signatures&status=draft&mySignatures=true ) would be included in the html formed email to inform that some document needed to be signed by someone.

My client wants to show the document properties side bar expanded by default when he clicks the URL in the email, however I have no idea to do it by URL because there is no argument for it as following screen shot.

Do you have any idea for this?
Thank you in advance.

Well, I can't tell you for document properties, but with trial and error I managed to use the following statements in the address line:

?sidebar=attachments
?sidebar=comments

Maybe for the others you just have to guess the right name.

What a brilliant idea!
I tried as you indicated and I found out two more arguments as follows;
- ?sidebar=document
- ?sidebar=toc

Thank you Jürgen.

Interesting topic! Is there also any argument for the rest of the possibilities?

I am for example interested in showing the "Recycle Bin" by default :D

It would be nice to generate a list showing all possibilities (arguments).

I took a look into the manifest file and there the following entries are named:
- com.polarion.alm.shared.dle.sidebar.approvals,
- com.polarion.alm.shared. dle.sidebar.attachments,
- com.polarion.alm.shared.dle.sidebar.comments,
- com.polarion.alm.shared.dle.sidebar.document,
- com.polarion.alm.shared. dle.sidebar.planning,
- com.polarion.alm.shared.dle.sidebar.signatures,
- com.polarion.alm.shared.dle.sidebar.testrun,
- com.polarion.alm.shared.dle.sidebar.toc,
- com.polarion.alm.shared.dle.sidebar.unreferenced,
- com.polarion.alm.shared.dle.sidebar.wi,

This leads to the following list of keywords (GUI order):
comments = comments
work item properties = wi
recycle bin = unreferenced
signatures = signatures
document properties = document
document outline = toc
attachments = attachments
approvals = approvals
test run planning = testrun
planning = planning

They all work, except wi. There are other files which indicate that "wi" should be correct, but it is ignored. Also "workitem" and "workitems" don't work.

re: display workitem properties sidebar in doc editor

this would need a workitem to be selected in the doc first.
you can navigate to a specific workitem in a doc by means of the "Open in Document" button, which has an url like
/polarion/#/project/{projectId}/wiki/{spaceId}/{documentID}?selection={workitemId}

But unfortunately it seems that you cannot combine the two parameters:
?selection={workitemId}&sidebar=wi

Oh, and there is one more sidebar name to list:
&sidebar=prioritization

But since I last asked Polarion support it can still only be called from the tracker table view, not from doc view and not even from Document Table view.
Example: /polarion/#/project/drivepilot/workitems?query=type:systemRequirement%20AND%20status:approved&sidebar=prioritization
