Use Polarion for Glossary Management

Hi All,

i got an project offer where Polarion is used to realize a glossary. Does anybody have a clue what the customer in fact want to have realized with Polarion ? Does anybody of you have used Polarion for a project pretty similar to this ? What could be the benefit of using Polarion to realize a Glossary ? And how can the Useres at the end useful handle the Glossary with Polarion ?

Hi, Sven

Authors often list abbreviations or important technical terms somewhere in their documents for better understanding and for clarification.

When you have a central glossary, you can refer to it and deliver it with the document. In Polarion you could also define a document that contains glossary work items, that you can insert as references in other documents.

Advantages:
- every author just needs to select the items he needs, no need to define them by himself
- they are centrally defined and therefore identical (and correct) in all documents
