Webservice with SSO

Postby mhoe » Tue Feb 05, 2019 7:48 am

Hi,

i wrote a small application using the Polarion Webservice API for creation of workitems.
For login i used the SessionWebService.logIn(userName, password) method. But that requires the user has to type in his password at application startup. By time that is annoying.

Is there a possibility to use Single-Sign-On (SSO) for the webservice? Something to pass the Windows Login credentials to the webservice?

Beside the normal Login there is also a logInWithToken method with following signature:
logInWithToken(java.lang.String mechanism, java.lang.String username, java.lang.String token)
But documentation is very rare for that. Can anyone tell what parameter values to put in here?

thanks in advance
mhoe

This is really very helpful for me as I was in search of it. I was having an error like this and at last, I tried to fix it, so I had t fix the iTunes Error 590624 that has occurred in my device.
