getting User Credentials or Session Data in a servlet

Hello,

I'm having some problems concerning the authorisation of write access to Polarion-DB from a widget or servlet.

I have created a widget to be used in a Live Report. The widget is inteeractive, so you can change some attributes of your workitems. After the change process I use a button to send the chaned data to a servlet in order to save them.
But, the servlet has no access to the user credentials because it resides in another piece of Java-Code.

How can I manage this to get the user credentials to store the wi-data?
Is there any example available?
