Disable / hide or remove an entry in the gear-menu of work item view

Postby SteffPoint » Mon Sep 10, 2018 1:12 pm

I would like to disable / remove or hide the following entry from a menu in the work item view for users:

Is that possible?

Can you provide the image again? It is not displayed, at least at my site.

Hello Steffen,

as i have found in the documentation one way to deactivate the "duplicate" functionality is the following :

Administration global ,
User Management,
Permissionsmanagement,
Setting Permissions for Work Item Fields

Field READ Permission
When configuring Work Item field permissions, keep in mind the following points:
If fields severity, priority and any other fields required for creating new Work Items are read-denied due to the permissions configuration, then affected users cannot duplicate or move Work Items or reuse Documents containing Work Items.

-> Nevertheless keep in mind Steffen that this forces the described side effects for moving workitems or reuse documents.

Hopefully this will help a little bit.

Cheers Sven

Hello Sven,

thank you very very much for your research and your answer.

The documentation you used was here, right?

Cheers back,
