Creation of table of contents Using Macros

Postby PolarionUser » Tue Apr 08, 2014 7:52 am

Hello together,

I'm trying to automatically generate a wikipage with some macros and give it some structure. Therefore I want to do something like this:

Code: Select all

{toc:numbered=true}

#macro( Heading )
  1.1.1 testing
  1.1.1.1 testing 2
#end ##macro

1 Test
1.1 test1
#Heading()
1.1 test2
#Heading()

but using headings in the macro doesn't work in combination with a table of contents. Is there any workaround to use headings in Macros AND automatically generate a table of content??

Thank you for your help
greetings
Franz

Dear Franz.

I tried several things (position of macro, using variables for the numbering, etc.) but nothing worked. It seems it's no possible to do this. :cry:
Kind regards.

Dear Hagen,

Thank you for trying to help! I was already afraid of this...

But the next question is, is it a bug which should/will be fixed, or is it not supposed to work?

Greetings
Franz

Dear Franz.

I think that Polarion hasn't considered this use case during the development. I contact the support and let them create a user story or requirement in such cases.
Kind regards.

Dear Hagen,

if it helps, what I want to do is to create a Wiki-Page automatically based on the links of one header workitem and structure it . To do so, i come to the following point:

Code: Select all

{toc:numbered=true}
1 Header a
1.1 Header b
...
#foreach( $wi in $workitemlist )
  1.1.1 $wi.id - $wi.title
  {pre}$wi.renderDescription($wi.getDescription(),null).getContent(){/pre}
#end

This also doesn't work. The original problem with the macro is just a special case, because the mentioned loop above is written in a macro...

Greetings
Franz
