Filtering not only work-items, but also headlines in docs

Postby mathiaskrause » Thu Nov 03, 2011 11:11 am

Hi,

Is it possible, to filter a document for special sections and not only for their work-items?

I've a document with a number of work-items inside. There're 3 categories and i want to create 3 different documents where the document is filtered for one of the categories. I can setup a filter in table view by using: "categories.id:<category>", then switch to document view. Unfortunately the headlines or description parts under the headline are not filtered ...

In the meantime I stumbled over the parameter settings for documents:
Created parameter (filter:yes|no), but that seems not to work, for filtering parts of document ... it can only be used for wiki text

so i created a section of document direct in WIKI markup:

Code: Select all

#if($parameter.filter)
1.1 heading
text
#end

But that creates WIKI text, which does not fit (i.e. for heading style) into document style.

So ... is there any possibility to filter some parts of document?

Are you talking about Polarion 2011 Documents? Have you checked the menu "Operations > Filter" in the Document view? I think that's exactly what you are searching for.

Yes, the filter seems to be exaclty what i want. I can create queries, that filter some work-items out. But is there a way to filter also informational text out? At the moment, that works only for work-items (requirements in that document).
