DocumentsManager Question

Postby SorrowEyes » Tue Aug 23, 2011 2:53 pm

I am trying to get a document location using the velocity script.

How do I figure out what the documentPath in the following function call should be?

ILocation getDocumentLocation(java.lang.String projectId,
java.lang.String documentPath,
java.lang.String revision)

I could not find a place where the documentPath is defined. The API only state it's a string which is too vague for me.

Has anyone used functions from the DocumentsManager before? Do you have examples that you can share with me?

Thank you.

And also does anyone knows what are the differences between a IDocumentsManager and a IModuleManager? And how do they relate to wiki page and Polarion documents.

Thank you.

I think the IDocumentsManager goes back to Polarion < 2011 and the so called "LiveDocuments". In Polarion 2011 this is more or less obsolete.

If you like to access a new Polarion 2011 (Wiki) Document in the Wiki-Space "Test Documents" you can use

#set($space = "Test Documents")

to set the name of your space.

#set($project = $trackerService.getTrackerProject($page.getSpace().getProjectId()))
#set($documentsLocation = $project.location.getLocation($space))

with the "$project" and "$documentsLocation" you can e. g. retrieve a list of all Documents in the "$space" with

#set($documents = $trackerService.moduleManager.getModules($project,$documentsLocation))

Return to “Polarion Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)”
