Query syntax

Postby nobsi » Fri Feb 18, 2011 8:18 am

Hi,

I've a problem with the query syntax. We defined an enumeration "release" with the entries "device_initial" and "device_initial_cleaned" (as ID)

I want to see all items where release is device_initial. So I use the query "release:device_initial". But now I get items with release device_initial and device_initial_cleaned.

What will be the correct query to see only device_initial items. I don't want to exclude the others manually.

Regards,
Richard

Hi Richard,

as you already received help from the support, I'm just repeating here:
If you use query field:value, for the custom fields the value is indexed in full-text mode, which means that there are some word separators, like underscore.
To make search by concrete value, you may use syntax field.KEY:value, e.g. in your case "release.KEY:device_initial"

Best regards,
Nick
