How to get the modules of a project via WebService

Postby martins » Tue Oct 05, 2010 6:48 am

Hello!

I'd like to read the Workitems of a module via WebService. I found out that I can do this by using the function "getModuleWorkItems" with the parameter "moduleURI" something like "subterra:data-service:objects:/default/MYPROJECTNAME${Module}MYMODULENAME". This works well with a "hand made" moduleURI, but I am wondering how to retrieve the moduleURI from Polarion (via WebService) without knowing the exact names of all my modules.

Within a Wiki page it is possible to retrieve a list of existing modules by using the following code

Code: Select all

#set($hProject = $trackerService.projectsService.getProject($projectId))
#set($modulesLocation = $hProject.location.getLocation(""))
#set($modules = $trackerService.moduleManager.getModules($hProject,$modulesLocation))

But I can't find a similar way to get a list of modules from a project using the WebService.

Can anybody tell me how to get any information about existing modules (names or URIs of the modules) from a project via WebService?

Best regards,

Martin

Hi Martin,

unfortunately this scenario is not supported by WebServices - you may work with Modules only if you know the id.

Best regards,
Nick
