SVN Repository

Postby marcelo » Thu Sep 08, 2005 4:02 pm

I need to know all about users' profile.
I had defined users with permission R/W and another one with permission R in SVN
(linux).
My problem is when I try to commit a piece, the server ask for usr&pwd, input right parameters, but display an error "can´t open activity db: permission denied".
The used user has permission for R/W.
can you help me ? Do you know where I can get information about users' profile ?
Thank in advanced for your soon help.

Hi Marcelo,

if I understand correctly your problem is related to the SVN usage, not to import itself, right?

From the error message it seems to me, that the problem is not in SVN users/access rights, but in Linux users. The user, under which the SVN server is running, does not thave the access rights to the files where the SVN repository is actually stored.

In addition (not related to the problem), from the error message it seems, that you use Berkeley DB as the underlying storage for SVN. I would recommend you to use FSFS instead (see Repository Data-Stores chapter in SVN Book for more info on this.

I hope this helps,
