INCR_HISTORY: VSS -> SVN Post Extraction File

Postby pcgoober » Wed Apr 19, 2006 8:50 pm

I ran the full dump extraction to file but at the end I ended up with 2 files of interest...

1) incr_history
2) full_dump_<date>

Why is the incr_history generated when doing a full dump to file? And if it is important then how would I go about using it?

?) I noticed the vss labels were recorded in the properties (cool). Does the extractor also carry over branch data too?

FYI: M1.7 worked like a dream...thanks a million!

Hi pcgoober,

the incr_history file is used by the importer if you would afterwards like to run an incremental import (of data modified since this import). You don't need to take care about it if you do just full dump - the dump is enought for you to load into SVN.

The VSS label->property support was recently contributed by one user and he is also working on branches support. You can have a look at item SVNIMP-27 in the tracker to check the status and maybe to cooperate on the feature.

I hope this helps,
