VSS -> SVN : "Skip entry : user is not set"

Postby dxd » Tue Apr 18, 2006 1:01 pm

Hi there,

I'm actually migrating from VSS to SVN. I receive lots of this message :
"VssHistoryParser:88 WARN - Skip entry: user is not set
Utilisateur: ____ Date : dd/mm/aaaa Heure: hh:ii
Archivé dabs $/......
Commentaire:"

Is this important ? Will the history lost ?
Something wrong becase there are no comment ?

Best regards

Hi dxd,

it seems like the problem is that your Vss output is in French (Utilisateur, Archivé, Commentaire, ...) and therefore the importer is not able to parse it. The user seems to be the first field it fails on.

You have to force your VSS to output in English (probably by changing system locale).

I hope this helps,
