Re: How to apply sorting/ordering in a Lucene query in the Query Browser?

In another thread http://forums.polarion.com/viewtopic.php?t=97701 there is an example that uses SQL for sorting. And it is also possible to use lucene queries in SQL, so it should work to write something like select * from polarion.WorkItem where polarion.WorkItem.c_pk in (select * from polarion.lu...

Re: No web service for deleting a work item?

Thanks for clarification, ALMighty In fact there is a whole bunch of workarounds possible, e.g. moving those items into a specific document, or creating a work item type "deleted" and then change the type to this. Unfortunately none of these workarounds really works when using queries for ...

Re: No web service for deleting a work item?

As far as I know, the interface IWorkItem has a delete method.

Re: Deleting a requirement

I think all you need is a look into the Polarion help. If you don't know how to access it, google for "polarion help deleting work items".

Re: Click into table of content or comment does not work with Chrome (Version 61)

I've just read somewhere, that in Chrome 64 some more changes were done regarding the so-called "anchor links", so this might be a new problem with this version.

Re: Changing hostname in links in e-mails

I am not sure if I understand the problem. Where exactly is the physical name used? In the sender address? This can be edited in the global notification settings.

Re: How to get project head revision

I think the only way to do that is to get each of those work items and check in each one, which is the head revision and then show the highest number. If you have a table of work items then you could gather that information during table creation, when you have each work item open already. Or you cou...

Re: Medical Device Traceability Matrix

Hi, all To create a trace table with more than two columns you will need a data structure that is capable to store "maps". In your case you have a map of maps of maps of maps, each map containing one level (column) of the trace table. This is really difficult in the velocity version of Pol...

Re: Release Management in Polarion ALM

I have no opinion for your first point, so I directly go to point two. The important information here is: Polarion does not use SVN branches. Although they call it a "branch", technically a branch document is nothing else but a second document (in the trunk). You could create a branch docu...

Re: Release Management in Polarion ALM

We basically have the same problem, with even more versions developed in parallel. And it is even worse, because we do not have three documents (or document levels), but up to ten document levels, all in different states. You are right regarding the use of baselines and also regarding the use of tim...

Re: Requirements in Polarion: Spelling and Grammar

Hello, Dan

As far as I know, most spell checkers in the browsers offer more or less the same functionality:
- mark word as wrong
- right click on word to correct, ignore, add to dictionary
- set language for spell check

The question is: what are you missing or what is it that you don't like?

Re: Copying Requirements between documents

This looks a little complicated, so let me try to describe this in my words, before I try to answer questions. - You have a master (global) repository of requirements, where all your "old" requirements are stored. - You have a project for a new feature, with a document (Pilot) that contain...

Re: Attachments and PDF Export

I do not think this is possible with PDF. I would even think it is not possible with Word export. The export only can be done for "visible" attachments, mainly images, which are shown in the document/work item.

Re: Way to query physically deleted Work Items still linked

I just happened to see this question because I have the exact same problem. I have work items with links to deleted items. I want to find those links to remove them. it would be a great idea to make search queries possible like this: - find all work items which are linked to work items of type xyz -...
