Re: Document Scrolls to End

We also had some strange effects in document handling, but they all heavily depend on your Polarion version, the used browsers and sometimes even the browser version. So the best idea probably is trying a different browser. Maybe you also want to check which browsers in which version are supported b...

Re: Is it possible to get hostname in Velocity Template Language?

As far as I know, the Live Report pages can include sections with classic wiki scripting, so there should be no difference. But I have never tried that.

Re: Is it possible to get hostname in Velocity Template Language?

There is a globally available variable $logredir, which at least contains the URL, maybe this already helps.

The value will not be shown correctly in preview mode of a wiki page.

It could also be possible with java script.

Re: How to show document properties in the side bar by default?

I took a look into the manifest file and there the following entries are named: - com.polarion.alm.shared.dle.sidebar.approvals, - com.polarion.alm.shared. dle.sidebar.attachments, - com.polarion.alm.shared.dle.sidebar.comments, - com.polarion.alm.shared.dle.sidebar.document, - com.polarion.alm.shar...

Re: How to show document properties in the side bar by default?

Well, I can't tell you for document properties, but with trial and error I managed to use the following statements in the address line:

?sidebar=attachments
?sidebar=comments

Maybe for the others you just have to guess the right name.

Re: Restricted Access: Only to one Polarion Project

Hi I have checked the Polarion help because I knew that something was noted there. It contains the following statement: Note that login permission is tied to the user role and will not work if assigned to other roles... watcher, for example. My conclusion: it will not work to create another role tha...

Re: Default read access to new users

To access the SVN access configuration from the GUI, your admin needs an ALM license. However, you could do it the hard way by editing the access file for your SVN system manually. Just login to the server, shutdown all services and add the needed entries in the file. Of course you do this on your o...

Re: To Hide/Disable specific menu, especially Export PDF

I don't know of any possibility to suppress that menu. If a user has read permission on a document, he is also allowed to export it. To hide this button you would have to change the GUI implementation of the document, which is in theory possible, but not a good idea. The question is, what do you wan...

Re: Export (xlsx) LinkedWorkitems

The Excel export simply writes the data of the exported work items into the Excel Sheet. Filtering can only be done on the level of the table view, where you can filter for work items with specific data. Filtering within single data fields is not in there. Regarding the fact, that the Excel export i...

Re: Export to PDF with attachment in zip file

I don't think that Polarion is capable of embedding all kinds of objects in a PDF export. Images will work, but attachments like ppt, xls or even more unusual things will probably not work from Polarion. I assume that you can only put things into a pdf that you can see in the original document. Thus...

Re: Live Doc Versioning

Hello, Eckhard it is unclear what you mean with "live doc versioning". Polarion has a revision history for each object, especially also for Live Docs. When you have a live doc then you can open the history by clicking in the clock symbol in the open document. There you see every saved revi...

Re: Incredible high loading times and CPU-usage in Polarion

Hi, Steffen if something gets worse suddenly, then the first impulse is to check, if something relevant has been changed. For example: You rebooted the Windows server, but maybe there were Windows patches installed before, which were activated with the restart, and now they influence the Polarion se...

Re: Use Polarion for Glossary Management

Hi, Sven Authors often list abbreviations or important technical terms somewhere in their documents for better understanding and for clarification. When you have a central glossary, you can refer to it and deliver it with the document. In Polarion you could also define a document that contains gloss...

Re: Incredible high loading times and CPU-usage in Polarion

With Server restart you mean that the complete machine was rebooted? Or only the Polarion process? Were there patches installed? Are there processes running other than Polarion which take CPU time? For example a virus scan? Is the virus scan configured to ignore the Polarion data folders? Was the Po...
