Re: Icons/images not displayed in pdf export

I need to ask my question a bit more specific. Let's say for example, you have two work item types named "requirement" and "design". Requirement uses a red icon and works fine, and design uses a green icon and produces an error. When you now switch the icons between the two types...

Re: Icons/images not displayed in pdf export

Hello, Ralf Thanks for the answers. Of course this could simply be some strange Polarion bug introduced in the latest version, but to be sure I would test some more things. 1. Could you do a clean install of that Polarion version on some (bigger) PC and use that svn repository (or at least the icons...

Re: Icons/images not displayed in pdf export

Hello, right now i cannot say that I know a solution, but maybe I can help you track down the problem. Let me ask some questions: 1. Does the problem occur for every user, also for a global admin? 2. Does it occur in every project? 3. Does it occur for every work item of that type or only for some f...

Re: Reference for Wiki Scripting Tools

I have only read the Velocity-manual. Your first variant should be correct. But I guess that you can only sort by name, if the objects in your list really have a property "name". If your list only contains pure strings, this will probably not work. There is a blog post that explains the pr...

Re: Enter key in Livedoc workitems

I wonder why you should restart Polarion with that solution... Should it not be enough that a user does a re-login? I would not do this change without asking the users. I know some users who really like the default behavior, because the mainly write things like high level requirements, which are oft...

Re: Enter key in Livedoc workitems

Right, Steffen, but then the new line is outside the work item  To get a new line in the work item without changing the key settings, you can use shift-enter. This is the same as in Word, where shift-enter is a simple new line, while enter is a paragraph end ("Absatzmarke"). But I al...

Re: Query for Workitems which have no backlink

Hello, DreiBaer in fact for backlinked search the button "none" is not available. But you can use a wildcard search to at least search for specific links and negate them with NOT. So you can for example search for items which are not backlinked in the same project. If your project prefix i...

Re: Link Role across projects

Hello DreiBaer I cannot tell you the exact solution, but I can give you several hints. We are using global link roles and therefore have no problems with that kind of handling. But even with global link roles there are some limitations. First you should check the help and search for "Links usin...

Re: Change Work Item position in document by script

According to the page
https://almdemo.polarion.com/polarion/sdk/doc/javadoc/com/polarion/alm/ws/client/types/tracker/WorkItem.html
there is a SetOutlineNumber method in the class workitem.

However, I do not know how this may be used.

Re: Document structure roles (structureLinkRole)

Hi the document structure role "parent" is very special. It seems to be a normal link role but there are some dependencies that a normal link role does not have. Its behavior looks so strange that in my company we decided to forbid the use of a different role than parent in a document. If ...

Re: Deleted Item is displayed in the list in the tracker with 'you cannot view this item'

Hi Depending on the performance of the server the index might be a little slow when doing bigger operations on the data. For example we have renamed several documents and directly afterwards all the work items were shown in the wrong documents. The index is changed in the background so you can conti...

Re: Get Count from Dataset SQL query

Maybe this is the right time to use a tool for direct database access. Maybe you should try SquirrelSQL together with Polarion. That tool allows to do any query on the database. Polarion even supports this. The following link contains a PDF that tells you how to configure direct access: https://almd...

Re: Get Count from Dataset SQL query

You mean you do not know the exact values for the different states? Those are most probably the same values as you are using in the lucene query "approvalState:approved".

If that doesn't work then you could do a simple query on the approval table and get the distinct status values.

Re: Get Count from Dataset SQL query

Hello, dbosman I cannot tell you the right solution, as I cannot test it at the moment, but I can tell you things that look strange in your script. 1. behind the XYZ the single quotation is missing. 2. If the SQL query does what I expect, then it produces a table with a single column as a result, th...
