Hi jwalker,

Re: Converting VSS labels to SVN tags during migration

Hi Dave,
either <basePath></basePath> or <basePath>/</basePath> should import into the root of the repository.

Re: Converting VSS labels to SVN tags during migration

Hi Dave,
<basePath> is the path inside the repository, relative to the repository root. Using <basePath>DataInterfaceModules2</basePath> should work.

Re: Creation of Workitem comments over WebService fails

Hi,
the problem is that you rollback the transaction you created the work item in.
You should set failed = false as last statement of the code that is runs in the transaction.

Re: Order by a custom field

Hi, Most likely the shortcut shows a different soring because it shows a tree of work items. If the web services returns the work items ordered by status (reverse) as primary and id as secondary sorting criteria the result is as expected. If you need the sorting according to the tree you will have t...

Re: VSS --> SVN [SVNImporter2]

Hi Torsten, It would be great if we could include your improvements into the importer. If you want to share your modifications just attach them here, alternatively sign-up on http://community.polarion.org/polarion and I will make sure you get write access to the repository. Regarding the fallback so...

Re: Polarion and Enterprise Architect

To be honest I wasn't aware that the app.config has to be used by the application that uses the SoapExtension, I thought it is just required for build... Not sure if it is always possible to use an app.config for a specific application that uses a dll to access our web services, fortunately there ar...

Re: Polarion and C#

Hello Ajay, you also have to copy the app.config from PoarionWS into your project, otherwise SessionExtension won't be used and the server won't be able to identify you ass the same client on subsequent calls. Regarding the list of users: I guess you are also not able to get the user details, users ...

Re: VssException: Cannot list files in VSS project

The error messages look very simmilar, if you post the log I can check if it really is the same error.
Alternatively you could give svnimporter2 a try, ther should be some posts in the forum pointing to the download.

Re: VSS->svn: how to get the labels converted into tags

Hi, I think the 'Not checking for renames...' message is not a problem, otherwise it would be logged as warning or error. The error 'ERROR org.polarion.svnimporter2.vss.internal.model.builders.RevisionBuilderFactory - Unexpected action: 'Unpinned $/Source/ORDERS.PRO', error resolving action id. Igno...

Re: VSS->svn: how to get the labels converted into tags

Unfortunately the importer is just implemented like that.
We have a reimplementation of the svnimporter which does the VSS conversion better: http://guest:polarion@svn.polarion.org/ ... 0-dist.zip (user: guest, password: polarion)

Re: EA-Connector and Tagged Values

Hi Björn,
(as far as I know) it is a limitation of EA that you can't define the tagged values on the root node of your model. You will have to define the tagged values on the packages below the root node.

Re: StarTeam in svnimporter2

Most likely that won't change. Are you asking because of the heap space problem? You can work around the problem by increasing the -Xmx value in the run script. If you already tuned the value to the maximum allowed by java, try to use a 64bit JVM the amount of heap space you can use is practically u...

Re: Importing from VSS: Too many open files error

Hi, unfortunately the bug is not fixed in the newer versions, but it seems it doesn't occur with Java 1.5. It seems the problems related to 1.5 only occur if there is not much free heap space. Using -Xmx1024m as parameter should avoid 1.5 related problems (depending on the size of the repository). Y...
