Re: Searching for Business requirements with/without linked test cases

Hello Dmalheiro,

on Polarion's demo server you can find a ready made Live Report page Requirements Test Coverage, which shows the number of requirements with and without linked test cases.

Other solutions were posted earlier here

Re: Using Xunit file to import results back to Polarion

Hello Girish Y K, maybe the reference on community.polarion.org is out-dated. The current release of Polarion's ALM demo server is at https://almdemo.polarion.com/ In 2015 we had a look at the Polarion-Ranorex "extension"/tutorial/call me back button , but learned that the xunit interface ...

Re: Auto complete in work item description?

Hello Matthias, AFAIK Eclipses "Intellisense" is not a built-in feature of Polarion. But you could try the extension FMC Work Item Save and a pre-save hook script to check words against a list. There is an example script "check weak words" in the download package. Even more simpl...

Re: create a default view for the "MyPolarion" page for every user

Hello Rebecca, the My Polarion page is created from a template under the plugins directory on the server, which cannot be seen in the repo browser or admin views. Paths depend on your Polarion version: 3.10.2 = 2016 SR2 For classic wiki pages it is located in %POLARION_HOME%\polarion\plugins\com.pol...

Re: referenced work items

Hello Chris, there is a "Referenced Work Items" wiki/velocity macro on the extensions site for collecting all referenced wi of a specified document in an array. Then you could check those for traces. Another hint is here about using the method getAllWorkItems() in IModule Regards, Martin

Re: need a "Livedoc Tracker" !

Hello r.phil, there are some earlier posts about wiki or rich pages (widgets) listing documents/modules/LiveDocs ⋅  Documents list in a wiki ⋅  Creating a Drop down on an available space. On the extensions site the Multilevel Traceability table widget has an example configuration...

Hello Peter,

apart from workflow functions or the pre-save hook scripts I do not see easier ways to do it.

Re: Importing Project from Test System

Hello Mark,

in an old post Polarion's Nick Entin principally confirmed, that svn dump and load should work in order to copy a project between servers, pointing out restrictions.

Important: on the target server the project ID and repo path must not be populated yet.

Re: Restart Work Item ID Numbering

Hello jake.lord, since 2015 SR3 the .idgen file is no longer used (cf. Configuration.txt of the update installer package): We used to store idgen files in repository for various artifacts, which kept the highest used counter in the object ID. These files are no longer needed and you can safely delet...

Re: Problem filtering/querying custom fields after Excel round-trip changes

Hello lh800, it depends on your Polarion release, but to me it appears as a problem with the repository indexing. Please look up your help pages for "When to Repair the Index" Symptoms of a "broken" index tend to be the following: some Work Items are not up-to-date , some are mis...

Re: Copy description to a custom field

Hello Peter, are you familiar with the FMC Workitemsave extension ? A pre-save script would also work while creating a workitem, but is not bound to a specific workflow transition like a workflow function. So it would copy the WI description every time the WI is saved. Since Polarion 2016 you can ex...

Re: queryWorkItems descending sort

Hello lucaf,

it is velocity query syntax, i.e. a tilde instead of minus in order to sort descending:
$trackerService.queryWorkItems($query, "~id")

Hello Elko,

please compare Polarion's release notes
Section "Additional Notes for Microsoft Internet Explorer" mentions required settings of Win 8.1 and IE 11 in order to work with Polarion.
