Re: Copy data when creating new linked work item

That's a standard functionality of Polarion too. Have a look at
Administration > Work Items > Form Menus > "Linking Work Item" Menus
There you can configure in attribute "copyFields" excatly what you want.

Re: Servlet - get Current Project?

Hello Ben, I think you have to add your project ID as a parameteter to the servlet URL and within the servlet look at the parameter. E. g. polarion/example?projectId=myProject Or you extend the servlet URL with an imaginary path that represents your project ID and extract this within the servlet. E....

Re: Post-Save Script: Set Assignee as Approver

Hello Trippe,

Do you perform a

Code: Select all

workItem.save();
in the end? In a post-save this is mandatory!

Or you try to execute the code in a pre-save script. This should work also and a workItem.save(); is not necessary there.

Re: Show custom field as hyperlink

Hello Richard, This can be done with a so called Form Extension, see SDK example com.polarion.example.formextension. Or you use the "FMC Work Item Save" extension and write a simple pre-save hook which automatically creates or modifies appropriate hyperlinks everytime you save your workite...

Re: webservice trackerService.getWorkItemById(prj,id) is giving exception

What about the "prj" parameter you are passing to the function? Are you sure you are using a valid project-id and not a project-object? Fault String complains about a ClassCastException. Therefore you should ensure that both parameters are plain text strings and not any kind of other object.

Re: Complex HighCharts graphics

Hello Thomas, yes, it is possible but no, not out off the box. As seen so many times with different features in Polarion, the highcharts implementation is just a 50% solution. The rest you have to do on your own :( To solve this issue I developed three additional macros which I include in our global...

Re: Custom items in {parameter-form} in Wiki Pages

You can define a checkbox as boolean, e.g.

Code: Select all

{parameter:myCheckbox|type=boolean}
and then check it's value with

Code: Select all

#if($pageParameters.myCheckbox)
## do this
#else
## do that
#end

Re: highchart chart-options

Hello Thomas,

Code: Select all

#addHighchartAdditionalOptions("options.chart.backgroundColor='#FFCCFF';")
#addHighchartAdditionalOptions("options.chart.borderWidth=3};")
should work.

Kind regards

Re: Message or Alert from script

If you use the FMC Work Item Save extension and a pre-save hook instead of a Script Condition you can throw any message you like into a modal warning dialog box (see screenshot on extension page).

Kind regards

Hello Thomas, Is your code embedded in a transaction AND are you calling $WI.save()? $transactionService.beginTx() #foreach ($Link in $WI.getLinkedWorkItemsStructsDirect()) #set ($ret = $WI.removeLinkedItem($Link.getLinkedItem(), $Link.getLinkRole())) ret = $ret\\ #end $WI.save() $transactionService...

Re: Accessing Enumerations from a different Project

Hello Daniel, I think the problem is that "getEnumerationForEnumID" returns an object of type "IEnumeration" but the "parameter" macro expects a simple string. A possible solution would be to iterate over your $myEnum object and build a string which includes all your en...
