Re: queryWorkItems() with custom field

Hi,

first of all, please be more specific - I guess you're speaking about WebServices access to Polarion.

For this case, I think what you're looking for is
trackerService.getCustomField(workitemURI, customFieldID)

and

trackerService.getCustomFieldKeys(workitemURI)

Nick

Re: Retrieve client's IP address on wiki page

Hi,

I guess you'd get IP of your company in best case or IP of your ISP, not your local api.
E.g. out of curiosity I've tried the service, and it tells me that I'm in Berlin with some strange IP, which doesn't belong to my local network.

Good luck!

Nick

Re: Retrieve client's IP address on wiki page

Hi, I'd guess it's difficult, if possible at all. First of all, you should remember that Wiki script is executed on server, therefore the only chance for you to pass client's IP is to render some JavaScript (first script process), then pass a URL parameter with IP to the server for reading (second s...

Re: Querying WIs of a specific category

Hello, do you know that you can compose your query in UI and copy it to the code of your webservices, particularly: - use query builder to compose query, which delivers you desired result (click "+", select "Categories", check desired category) - at the very end of the query line...

Re: List of WorkItems referenced in a Document

Hi,

as the first step you can do $trackerService.getModuleManager() - from here you can find your IModule instances.

Re: Several questions to work item metrics and export

Hi Manuel, may be I'll write something, which will be in a loop to the previous part (have limited time to re-read the whole thread from the beginning :-)), but either you do programming in wiki - and here you may iterate through the roots (and apply the queries, you copy from the search line of UI)...

Re: Using the internal Polarion repository for source code

Hi, of course keeping sources in the same repository as the one for work items (and other types of artifacts) is default option for Polarion. For instance, only in this way you can do baselining of your project, including sources, requirements, documentation and even configuration of your project (l...

Re: Migration from StarTeam to SVN

Hi Biju,

Try to rename it to starteam80.jar while copying, if the system is really ST2008 - it should work.

Re: Polarion JIRA Connector

Hi,

I've got reply from developers that this message comes, when the target server is unsupported Jira version (required API is not supported). Polarion supports Jira 5 and 6, but not Jira 4.

Re: Several questions to work item metrics and export

Hi Manlaziba,

when you use GUI to compose your query, press on the "?" mark (next to the input field of Linked Work Items). Here you'll find examples of what you can type to specify particular relationship.

Re: Insert several referenced WI at once

Hi, What is your case? You want to order items, bring them to some structure and exchange with your customers - then you probably looking for operation "move to... Document" (i.e. you go to Work Items, make your query, select many items - bulk edit - and select "move to document"...
