Re: restrict repository access?

Hi George, I'm sorry, I don't understand context of your question - in Polarion there is no action to "create user to have access to a single project", all users are global by definition (i.e. they can see everything). To restrict access to the project, you must have done something, but I ...

Re: single restricted approvals

Hi Justyna,

please consult with support - they will be happy to help you to resolve the issue.
AFAIR to enable Electronic Signatures you should set a property in the server's file. But it described in Help ("secure.approvals=true").

Best regards,
Nick

Re: single restricted approvals

Hi Justyna, I'd recommend you to refer to the Help of Polarion, e.g. here: http://almdemo.polarion.com/polarion/help/?topic=/com.polarion.xray.doc.user/ugchWorkitemsApprove.html , see the permission to approval on behalf of another user. Please also notice a subtopic "Electronic Signatures"...

Re: restrict repository access?

Hi George, first of all, are you really using 3.4.3, not more recent one? If not, I'd strongly encourage you of updating to a newer version. I didn't understand from your description if you did any steps to restrict access of the user to the project, or you just created a new user without any specif...

Re: Funtional Flow Block Diagram

Hi,

yes, that's one of the requested improvements of Polarion, which will be implemented.
And if you approach support with similar request, it will get additional prioritization boost.

Best regards,
Nick

Re: Permission to read and modify only assigned Workitems

Hi Martin, interesting question. From your description it may follow that there is a defect in processing of the edit action depending on permissions (it has more priority for deny as for grant). Please approach our support with the question - they may investigate this further to confirm defect or p...

Re: How to access IJobSchedulerService

Hi, I guess IJobSchedulerService is not visible in Velocity context. From my point of view you have 2 options: - write a servlet, which you can embed in the Wiki page, and the servlet will instantiate the class by simple lookup - you add the service to the Velocity context (you can find some example...

Re: Document History

Hi, while Polarion doesn't allow you to comment save operation in documents, you may create a baseline each time, you made a significant change of the document, this will appear in the document history with different color and name could be used as the comment. Option 2 will be that you set-up a wor...

Re: Add images in Diagramm edtior

Hello, please approach our support. Principally, when you do any modifications of the diagram and press save - a picture (PNG) file will be generated, which will be then displayed in Polarion view. There might be some defects in the diagramming component, which prevents proper rendering of the inser...

Re: Server Memory Usage

Dear Lukas, I've escalated your case to support! Please excuse us to be not responsive, if we didn't help you to solve the issue so far! 8 GB is definitely enough for a server with your data size and amount of users (I assume you also have not too many projects). However the OOM issues can be caused...

Re: Howto access the current user selected view/hat in wiki

Hi Roman, I'd guess you can read the roles of the user and from there you can use ISecurityManager::getDefaultHatForContextRole to get what supposed to be used by the user on the page. Though this is only default hat, the user may wear a different one. This is a subject for consultancy, where our PS...

Re: Wiki

Hi Pedro, I think it's not a trivial request. In first place Polarion doesn't operate with files in the repository, but the revisions (change lists). So try to get links to linkedRevisions. If you want to access list of files in the revisions - you'd probably need to write your own script in the vel...

Re: SMTP and office365

Hi, I'd recommend to check the conditions you may use SMTP server of your Office installation. E.g. many such services don't allow to send emails from the different domain. Those should correspond. For example, your office is configured to operate with emails *@abc.com", your polarion is config...
