Hi Robert, currently there is no way to do the filtering in the importer itself, but you can filter the resulting dump file (using svndumpfilter tool, which comes with Subversion). Of course, this is highly ineffective, since it will process all the ignored data anyway. Another solution might be to ...

Re: Can Polarion do ..?

Hi Captainc, - can I checkout a single file which sits in a directory, check it in after change, without modifying the revision number of all other files in that directory. Preferrably, we use keywords in the sources, which show this number. At the same time, the files in this dir are used in other ...

Hi Sean, we don't use the svnclient configurations, since in typical setup the migration is done on machine, which is not regularly used for development (=no svn client settings yet) and also during the migration people usually don't have such an advanced SVN client settings. For those, who know, it...

Hi Dave, the dump file is basically the mixture of text headers and binary content, MD5 checksums are used to verify content, but no checksums for the headers (only the lenght is given, so that the headers content doesn't have to be eschaped). It should be easy to find out in which revision the erro...

Hi pcgoober, the incr_history file is used by the importer if you would afterwards like to run an incremental import (of data modified since this import). You don't need to take care about it if you do just full dump - the dump is enought for you to load into SVN. The VSS label->property support was...

Hi Alex, I would suggest either to create the directory yourself and see what happens or search the log file for some errors before this one (perhaps an operation which was expected to create the folder did fail and this is just a secondary problem). I hope this helps, Michal Dobisek Polarion Sofware

Hi Marko, thanks for your kind words ;-) You are the first to request such a feature. We actually don't have this in plan, but I believe that (if you are at least a bit capable in Java) it should be qiute easy to get the importer sources and implement the feature yourself - especially if it will be ...

Hi Dave, I don't see the problem cause from the log, but it seems like telling the importer not to import the dump automatically, but just save it to file and then importing the dump file it manually using the 'svnadmin load' command should either solve your problem or at least give some more info a...

Hi dmcnicol, I would suggest to increse the logging level so that you can see what command was executed to CVS and thus why it failed. It can be either that the CVS data or somehow corrupetd or that the CVS command generated some unexpected output. I hope this helps, Michal Dobisek Polarion Software

Hi dxd, it seems like the problem is that your Vss output is in French (Utilisateur, Archivé, Commentaire, ...) and therefore the importer is not able to parse it. The user seems to be the first field it fails on. You have to force your VSS to output in English (probably by changing system locale)....

Hi Sean, I was actually thinking about such document, since I explained this multiple times in the past days, but I didn't get the time yet. In you case the easiest way to solve the CVS classes problems is IMO to simply don't import any classes (source folders) from the CVS provider - you should not...

Hi Sean, what you describe might be actually really a bug. I am not able to test VSS right now, but we observed the same problem in CVS, when the dates for some commits were broken (this could be one direction to search) and also in PVCS, when some error in the command executed to PVCS occured and w...

Hi Darren, actually you don't miss any jars. The SVNWebClient contains 2 alternatives for some classes - one are used in the stand-alone SVNWebClient and the others are used when SVNWebClient is bundled as a part of our Polarion DPP product. When compiling in Eclipse, then you should ignore the src/...
