Hi Joe, I am not sure, what a CC view is, but sizes are like this: 1) The actual size of current version of the files 2) The actual size of the repository (including history) on disk 3) The dump file size 1) < 2) < 3) The repository usually uses some delta storage to save changed files - so a small ...

Hi Joe, this fix is CVS specific - it adds an extra CVS provider. I don't have an experience with CC mysels, so I can't advise much, but if you have a feeling, that the dumped data do not correspond to the reality (e.g. you have 200 MB repository and get 35GB dump), then it's possible that there is ...

Hi Joe,

sorry, I completely forgot about this thread. Actually - what we did - after observing the same as you - we created a new SVS provider, which is working in the same way as cvs2svn, which gives performance boost. It's available in trunk.

Hi Tom, I didn't meet such problem before, I sucesfully worked with CVS and PVCS imports, which run during midnight. I didn't test CC, but from your errors, I would assume, that there might be even something wrong with the network - maybe some dynamic IPs expire and do change or somethign like that?...

Hi Bradburyc, unfortunately, as far as I recall, the VSS labels are not converted. There were some VSS improvements contributed by Christian Imfeld (see SVNIMP-25 ). But if I am correctly oriented, he just placed the Label info into the SVN properties, but not converted it into tag. Right now, we do...

Hi Alex,

from your description I am not completely sure about which import phase do you speak. Could you please past some part of the log file showing the lazy entries (maybe also with some context).

Hi Stefan, try searching the log for some messages before INFO historyLogger:84 - EXCEPTION CAUGHT: org.polarion.svnimporter.mksprovider.MksException: Process exit code: 128 If the MKS tool did output some errors, you might see them in the log. Also check, whether the parameters for MKS execution ar...

Hi Dave, the Can't remove 'BuildCenterServices\db\transactions\897-1.txn': The directory is not empty. error is likely caused by some software on your local PC - e.g. an antivirus checking the folder meanwhile or something like that. Hi Dave, several hunderts of MB or some GB of dump file are absolutely no problem - so I don't think the problem is in dump file size. Are you able to find out in which revision/file the problem occurs and post the problematic sample of the dump file? Regarding the MD5 checksup errors - we have expe...

Hi Heinz, it seems like your problem is caused by VSS outputting it's messages in German, while the importer is made to parse English version. Try changing your system locale to force the VSS to print texts in English (I am not sure, whther this is possible), or you can modify the string constants i...

Hi Praful, such a situation is not supported by the importer now. You can have a look into the VLogParser class to see, whether it's possibly to to add such a support - I am not sure, whether this condition is really necessary or it's just a safety check. For sure a possible workaround would be to a...

Hi Haefy, the SVN Importer was developed against the PVCS v 8.0, there are some differences in the pcli command usage, which make it incompatible with the older version. However we did not dig deeper into it to see, how big the difference is and whether it can be fixed. Right now we don't have in pl...
