Hi SveN, actually, we have not tested SVNBrowser to work with JRE 5 and Tomcat 5, so there could be potential source of problems, same for SVN 1.2. The SVNBrowser checks access against SVN, so if SVN behaves the same independently on authentication source, then SSPI should not be the problem (we kno...

Dear Guest, Polarion was tested to run on JVM version 1.4.2 from Sun Microsystems Inc. The Java version/vendor is checked on startup to prevent potential compatibility problems. If you have serious reason to use another JVM implementation, you can bypass this compatibility check by launching Polario...

The SVN 1.2 compatibility was fixed. The fix is present in the nightly builds (downloadable via Polarion at http://community.polarion.org/).

The fix will become part of next release, which is planned for next week.

Hi Anand, What exactly do you mean by "details of user"? Current version of SVNBrowser does no extra user handling, it just passes the user/password for authentication to the SVN repository. In the basic setup, the SVN users are defined in password and access files and there are not much details to ...

The problem with SVN 1.2 seems to be just in changed format of some SVN commands outputs. This should be fixed by the end of the next week (if no extra problems arise).

Hi Alex, looks like I have overlooked this post somehow. We haven't tested with SVN 1.2 so far, so thanks for pointing out the problem. The schedule for SVN 1.2 compatibility is not clear yet. Definitely, the SVN 1.2 support will be available no later than September. Depending on amount of required ...

Hi Guest,

it looks like you have an old SVN version. SVNImporter requires 1.0.x. Do you have such? (run svn --version to get your version number).

Is this the case?

I would suggest the following: 1) check, that the '/xsl/blame.xsl' is present in your webapps/svnbrowser (this should be true). 2) Try Tomcat 4.1.31 Probably it's a Tomcat 5 issue (since we haven't experienced it with Tomcat 4), but it could be possibly caused by something else in your setup - tryin...

Hi Davidoh,

does the catalog folder "c:\temp\local\pvcs.tempdir\" exist? Do you have a write access to it?

If the folder exist and you have the write access to it, then please attach your config file, so that we can check your problem in more detail.

Hi Roman,

do you get the error right after logging in, OR do you login, browse the repository, click the blame feature and get the error then?

Thanks,

Michal

Troubleshooting: Unable to log into Polarion

This problem was experienced when installing Polarion locally on machines, which have the underscore (_) character in the name (e.g. my_computer). According to the DNS specification (RFC 1034: ftp://ftp.rfc-editor.org/in-notes/rfc1034.txt ) the underscore is not valid character for computer names. C...

Troubleshooting: Unable to install Polarion 1.1 (Windows XP)

This is because of problem in Windows TCP/IP implementation, which causes problem during import of data into the Subversion repository. (described at http://subversion.tigris.org/faq.html#windows-xp-server ). Installing the Windows XP Service Pack 1 will fix the problem. Instructions for getting Ser...
