Re: Incredible high loading times and CPU-usage in Polarion

Hi, Steffen if something gets worse suddenly, then the first impulse is to check, if something relevant has been changed. For example: You rebooted the Windows server, but maybe there were Windows patches installed before, which were activated with the restart, and now they influence the Polarion se...

Re: Use Polarion for Glossary Management

Hi, Sven Authors often list abbreviations or important technical terms somewhere in their documents for better understanding and for clarification. When you have a central glossary, you can refer to it and deliver it with the document. In Polarion you could also define a document that contains gloss...

Re: Incredible high loading times and CPU-usage in Polarion

With Server restart you mean that the complete machine was rebooted? Or only the Polarion process? Were there patches installed? Are there processes running other than Polarion which take CPU time? For example a virus scan? Is the virus scan configured to ignore the Polarion data folders? Was the Po...

Re: Automated document reference list

Ich habe prinzipiell zwei Lösungsideen, allerdings aus Zeitgründen nur als Draft. 1. Die eleganteste Lösung wäre vermutlich, ein SQL-Query zu definieren, das etwa folgendes macht: select id, title from work item where document.id = "document_1" and tag in (select distinct tag from work ite...

Re: Automated document reference list

Hi, Salmolin Let me repeat that in my words to see if I understand your question. - you have work items of the type "document" - you have a live doc (a polarion document) that contains these "document" work items - some of these work items contain a "tag" - these specif...

Re: block default Repository Access

Hi, Fabio we although thought about that and decided against it, because it has some impacts and tends to be complicated. For example: If you block access for everybody from outside the server, even the admin cannot use a SVN repo browser without logging into the server. But maybe I want to give som...

Re: Restrict project_admins to create spaces

Hi, Steff I did some testing here, and it seems that it might be possible, although a little tricky. It seems that the button "create space" is only visible, when the user has all the following rights - create document - modify content - modify fields - create page - modify page - create w...

Re: workitem create with default attachment (via svn copy)?

Hello, Michael

I do not know what is happening there, but could you maybe test to create a work item from the template outside a document?

I think when you create a WI inside a document, the image then is attached to the document instead of the work item.

Re: Script which affects all Polarion pages

Ah, now I understand. You want to implement a script that is automatically called whenever a wiki page is opened, thus patching the general behavior of the system.

Sorry, I can't help you here. But maybe with this description somebody else may do.

Re: Script which affects all Polarion pages

Hi, SteffPoint

the answer obviously is yes, but in might be a little complicated. At the moment I am not sure what you want to do exactly. If I understand it correctly, you want to do something with the homepage of each Polarion project?

Or do you mean all wiki pages of one project?

Re: Server Error

Hi, charbel.melhem

I have no idea what could have happened here, but maybe you can give some more information.

Does this happen every time? For every user? With every browser? With all types of work items?
Does the log file contain some more information?

Re: Transformation of enumeration id into name or description

I basically cannot really help here, but I happened to see something in the configuration.txt file from the upgrade installation, that might be relevant here: * The ENUM_OPTIONS table is no longer populated by default. If you use the enumerations in the Polarion database for external reporting purpo...

Re: Work Item Query - Contains Substring

Unfortunately also this regular expression uses a wildcard at the beginning of the word, and this is not supported in Polarion. Polarion builds an index of words which it then uses for searching. It is possible to influence this lexicon by setting the parameter search.wordBoundaries in the configura...

Re: Getting objects from polarion

Let's make this request more specific. What do you mean with metadata? Could you name an example? And what do you mean with "all objects"? Basically everything can be regarded as an object, not only work items, documents, wiki pages, but for example also roles, rights, other configurations...

Re: Search for a specific list of watchers using the search field

You can find work items with the query

This happens for example, when an admin presses the "Watches" button for an account in user management.
