Check if all comments in a work items are resolved when going to the next status

Hello alltogether! I'd like to know if there is a way to check - just with the tools available in the workflow configuration, including Worklflow conditions and functions - if all comments in a work item are resolved. ScriptFUnction and ScriptCondition are not favoured, as they - I at least guess - ...

Color values for enumeration options: Do they actually work in any other enumeration than the severity field?

Hello folks! Is it possible to change the font color of a work item ID in the Polarion UI based on an enum value? As far as I can see it, it does only work through options selected in the severity field. What I achieved so far is, that I created a custom severity enum for a work item type with diffe...

Where in Polarion's PostgreSQL Database can I retrieve the name field of an enum option?

Hello! :D Where in Polarion's PostgreSQL database can I get the name field of an enumeration option? If you do not know what I mean, have a look in the attached picture please. At first I thought in the table enum_options in the database each option is listed with the id, name and description and so...

Re: Is it possible to change the type of a work item through bulk edit, the API or a Wikipage?

This might be a real dirty solution, but do you have any way of doing this edit through SVN search and replace? Thanks for the suggestion but I did kind of this. I modified each workitem.xml but this Search and Replace would have not worked for me because these work items were randomly scattered am...

(SOLVED) Is it possible to change the type of a work item through bulk edit, the API or a Wikipage?

Title says it basically all. I need to change the type of arond 600 work items however... 1) ...In the Polarion Web UI, the "Change type to:" button is not visible when bulk editing 2) ... the API has also not allowed me to change the type of a work item, any work item on which I invoked s...

How to find (or at least count) "Waiting" test cases of a test run in Polarions PostgreSQL Database?

Hello dear folks! :) Has anyone an idea how to find "Waiting" test cases of Test Runs (see picture attached) in the database? Or at least an idea how to count them with the help of the database? I see no useful indicator at all in either the tables struct_testrun_records or testrun . My f...

Re: Historical SQL query

Is there anyone to find a way to get the work items' historical data using sql query? Step 1: Establish access to the DB of your Polarion First of all, you need to get access to the Postgre SQL database (Postgre that is the kind of SQL Polarion uses). If this is not done yet, then ask your System A...

Re: Counting linked requirements in velocity

Hi, I have a simple table in Info Page. One of these columns should inlude counting of requirements, which are linked to requirements issue. Info page you say? There it cannot work, what you need is a WikiPage since a Info Page cannot execute Velocity code like you have posted it (by the way Polari...

Re: How to set external links in left navigation bar / shortcuts.xml

The problem is, that I want to link to a Polarion page which is on another project site. But when I set this link it always tries to open locally in the project where I am. Is it also possible to link to any external sites, such as google.com, within the default_project_favorite_shortcuts.xml? As f...

Re: Get real starting date of an item

Why not use IWorkItem.getCreated() ? I think it is not that easy because the thread creator does not want to know when a work item For that purpose one must get the history of a work item and traverse through it. I would like to know if it is possible to somehow get the real starting date value of ...

You can't, but you could try the dateTool class which is (at least it seems to me) built in the Velocity engine:

Re: Calculating Priority from linked Item does not work

Now I have to come up with another solution to my problem of sorting the tasks according to the requirement priorities.... And perhaps I have one, by setting a function in the workflow table of your task. The corresponding chapter in the Polarion help is here (search for the heading "Workflow ...

Re: Calculating Priority from linked Item does not work

Am I doing something stupid, like priority is not float? priority is called priority.1? Now that you mentioned it, I have the concern that this might actaully be the case. I also tried out what you did (in a calc-field setup that definitely worked before when using other fields) in order to calcula...

Re: Calculating Priority from linked Item does not work

I created a calculation that calculated the "derived priority" to be the average of the parent "priority" (I like to see max, but did average for no reason). [...] What I tried I found "the child points to its parent" in the documentation, so I believe that task is the...
