Re: Ensure single assignee

I would rather go down the road of "packing" this into a transition, allowing assignee changes only for the script (and maybe the SysAdmin). Create a "New Assignee" field (single-value user) and make the script set the value of "assignee" to the value in this field. The...

Re: How getTestRunById() ?

Hi Perlu this is a method for the Test Management Web Service - is that where you're calling it from? If not, there's a method getTestRun in the TestManagementService interface (ITestManagementService): ITestRun getTestRun(java.lang.String projectId, java.lang.String id) Returns a Test Run from the ...

Re: Velocity Version in Polarion 18

The Velocity version is 1.4 - and it's going to stay there unless we Polarion users unite....

Re: stop a #foreach sentence

And they will not move to a later Velocity version, they're pushing the widgets technology and just keeping Wiki pages as tolerated-but-not-actively-maintained-legacy :(

Looks like we need to pool the Wiki know-how among users. Who's in?

Re: Copying Requirements between documents

I would strongly suggest to stop using the "copy" mindset and use Polarion's branching feature for this. Basically, it sounds like what you're doing is creating a branch for the "pilot" / change, working on this branch (which will not affect the main "release" trunk), a...

Table with WI count per document

I'd like to create a table containing a list of documents (their titles) and the number of workitems each of them contains, either for a given project or across the whole repository. Any pointers? Widgets should be enough, but I'm clueless how to count on a query containing a variable (the document ...

Re: Document status for "freezing" live documents

We use Custom Sets for this, in User Management / Permissions Management: ⋅  create a custom Document Set for documents in the "reviewed" status ⋅  set specific permissions for your user groups and this custom set Friendly reminder: Custom Sets can impact your server's ...

We do this by including a page from an admin-only project using the {includeForm} macro.

Re: Branchs with workitems

AFAIK, you always branch / merge documents in Polarion.

If all you need in your branch is a single workitem, filter the document for the work item ID first and branch it then.

Hope this helps

Re: How to add additional button in Menu bar short Cut

AFAIK, this is not possible - Polarion just shows the icons of the two top items in your "WI types" configuration.

Re: SQL + Wikipage

Looks like it's due to the DB changes in 2016 SR1 (June). You now need to go through the SUBTERRA_URI_MAP table to match the C_ID to the C_PK, see <your_Polarion_server>/polarion/sdk/doc/database/ColumnChanges.html for the changed field types. This should work (tested on my server): #set($testcases=...

Re: unresolved comments

Probably a typo ("." instead of ":" ?) {workitems: query=HAS_VALUE:comments.author.id AND NOT comments.resolved:true| sortby=id |fields=id,title,comments| top=20} works for me, as does {workitems: query=HAS_VALUE:comments.author.id AND comments.resolved:false| sortby=id |fields=i...

Ordering Test Case Execution in a Test Run

Hi all I'm trying to create a Test Run which executes a set of Test Cases in a specific order. I know I can achieve this using a Test Run Template based on a document, but this requires a REQ or ALM license. Is there an alternative way using features of the QA license? Any pointers & ideas welco...
