Re: Reference for Wiki Scripting Tools

Hi,

unfortunately the links on the extensions page (https://extensions.polarion.com/extensi ... ting-tools) are not valid anymore. But you'll find descriptions to all tools at http://velocity.apache.org/tools/1.4/generic/

Hope that helps.

Re: pre-defined configuration of MyPolarion-Page is not working

Hi,

I had tried this also with Version 19.2 with the same result (that it is not working).
Have your tried it with Version 20 R1? Maybe there was a bug in 19.2 and it is fixed with the final release.

Re: Link Role across projects

HinDreiBear,

we use linking between different projects and the only way I found of doing so, is to define the Work Item types in both projects.

Re: Change Work Item position in document by script

Jürgen,

thanks for your reply.
I found this method in the meanwhile but also do not have any idea how to call it from a Velocity script.

Anybody who could help?

Change Work Item position in document by script

Hi all, I want to duplicate a Work Item in a document and place it right below his origin. So far I'm able to duplicate the WI and move it into the document. It's placed at the end of the same chapter the origin WI is in. But I found no way to move the WI within the document. I found getOutlineNumbe...

Re: Disable Polarion for certain Webbrowsers

Hi,

to be honest, I dont know where the javascript code could be placed.
I thought 'index.html' in the apache dir would be the right place, but that didn't work.
Sorry that I couldn't be a help.

Re: Disable Polarion for certain Webbrowsers

Hi, I also do not have a lot experience about Apache, but have you thought about a pop-up message to inform the user that he is using the wrong browser? You could do this by using the following javascript code <script type="text/javascript"> browserName = navigator.userAgent; if (browserNa...

Re: 'Planned In' field not available via SOAP API

Hi ttdeveloper,

I hadn't worked with plans by now, but I assume that you have to use the method "getPlannedIn()" to retrieve this information for a Work Item, because it isn't a "basic field" of a Work Item.

Re: Required Fields without Workflow Context

Hi,

the only solution I see is using a pre-save script.
This will give you the possibility to check the value of 'requirement impact' and prevent saving the Work Item if 'justification/rationale' is empty (and display a meaningful message to the user).

Re: Dropdown box that contains work items of another type?

Hi,

yes, that's possible if you install "com.polarion.alm.custom.enumerationfactories".
After that you'll be able to create an enumeration based on work items an select them by using a filter.

Re: set assigne field

Hi,

try using addAssignee(IUser participant). This "adds a user to the list of assignees." as described in the API documentation.

Re: Move license to another server

Hi,

if in your polarion.lic file the number in <multiInstanceRunningInstances> is larger than 1, you will be able to activate Polarion on the new instance with your current license information without any issue.

Re: Call TrackerService (getTrackerService) in a document post-save script

Hi Steff,

I only used trackerService in a workflow action, but here it was as easy as using "trackerService.getXyz()".

Re: Where can I edit the Polarion.css?

You'll find it in the Polarion installation path in the subfolder polarion\plugins\com.polarion.alm.oslc_3.xx.x\webapp\oauth\stylesheets. 3.xx.x must be replaced with the corresponding version number of your Polarion installation; for Polarion 18 it is 3.18.0. But consider that your changes will be ...
