Re: How to pass parameters to wiki page

Hi,

try

Code: Select all

$request.getParameter("param")
to retrieve a parameter by the name of "param" which has been passed to the Wiki page.

HTH and regards

Re: Calculating age of items

If your report may be represented by a Wiki page you could do some simple calculations like: #set( $thePrj=$page.getProject() ) #set( $prj=$projectService.getProject($thePrj) ) #set( $items = $trackerService.queryWorkItems($prj, "status:draft", "id") ) <table cellpadding="6&...

Re: DurationTime - Estimate Time during WI creation in Wiki

Again, you cannot invoke a method like fromString() from nowhere, i.e. you need an object reference which provides this method. In the example using the getInitialEstimate() method is used to obtain an existing object reference of the correct type (DurationTime) to be able to call fromString(). Also...

Re: Create Wiki space from template

Hi, the quick (and dirty) solution is to bypass Polarion by copying the desired part of your existing project via a Subversion client and submit the modification directly into the repository. If workitems are contained you have to be extremely careful on adjusting the IDs and index definition files....

Re: alias when using hyperlink in a work-item description fi

Hi, just insert the link using the link wizard. Once the link is hooked in you can change the link alias as you like by editing the description text. The corresponding URL in the background remains untouched. Works for me in Polarion 2013. Not sure about previous releases. Or did I miss anything? HT...

Re: DurationTime - Estimate Time during WI creation in Wiki

Hi, you need to be aware of the object oriented nature of the game. setInitialEstimate(Duration) is an interface of IWorkItem so you need an instance of a work item to call this method. fromString(String) is an interface of DurationTime so you do best when having an instance of this class to call th...

Re: How can build this table?

Hi Julien, IMHO the hierarchical table you are striving for is not specific but just another form of traceability. In Polarion - unlike in DOORS - there is no such thing like inherent hierarchy of workitems by a parent-child-relation. However, a link may or may not have the meaning of a hierarchy. I...

Re: How to find all methods?

Hi Julien, the Polarion API documentation in JavaDoc style can be accessed via the following URL on your server: <yourserver>/polarion/sdk/doc/javadoc/index.html AFAIK you cannot create new Java Objects by using the 'new' keyword. Thus, the beginning of all your code employs the given instances of s...

Re: Workitems in table

Hi, maybe this is what you are looking for: #foreach ($wi in $items) <tr> <td> {workitem: $wi.id} </td> <td> $wi.title </td> <td> #foreach ($link in $wi.getLinkedWorkItemsStructsDirect()) {workitem: $link.getLinkedItem().id} role: $link.getLinkRole().id <br> #end </td> </tr> #end If you also want th...

Re: Convert string to integer in wiki page / Map for valuepa

Hi, to parse a float from a string you may use the parser method of the priority field to be set itself (which obviously has the desired type): #set( $s="40.0" ) $theWI.getPriority().getFloat().parseFloat($s) However, the API doc for IWorkItem states that the param type for the setPriority...

Re: How to free heap memory on wiki page rendering?

Apart from instant resource management issues I would recommend to reboot your Polarion server cyclically in order to avoid memory leaks etc. Also, trouble with cached macro name resolution will be minimized. At our site we perform a server reboot every night after the backup process has finished (w...

How to free heap memory on wiki page rendering?

Hi all, in a wiki page I use a complex macro which is processed for every item in a set of workitems selected by a query. If the set is small everything works out fine. However, if the set is rather large I get errors on the server side like: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError : Java heap space Page renderi...

Re: Create linked work items from wiki page

Hi Flo, you might consider to insert a link to a separate Wiki page and pass the ID of the technical requirement as a parameter. This Wiki page would use a {parameter-form} in order to query the user for the field data needed to create the new task item. On submit you invoke createWorkItem() of the ...

Re: Concurrent Licence Not Releasing

Hi David, there is a (configurable) latency for releasing licenses on logout or timeout. You may also check http://forums.polarion.com/viewtopic.php?t=19444#p24774 for further details. I also encountered situations when only a Polarion server reboot released the zombie licenses ... It seems that log...

Re: Setting a custom field in a velocity macro

Hi,

you may sqeeze the whole thing into one statement:

$wItem.setCustomField("mycustomfield", $wItem.getDescription().plain($strResult))

which basically does the same as your code but reduces confusion of the reader to a single line ;-)

Joern
