Re: Polarion 2011 Import failed Us_ascii
Hello, the issue about misleading validation message is already recognized and tracked internally as defect DPP-23669. It is planned to be fixed in an upcoming service release. Sorry for the inconvenience. What the message actually should tell is that the document name is not allowed to contain any ...

Re: Workflow - ChangeField
Hi Richard, unfortunately no, currently there is no built-in workflow function that does what you want. It is however possible to implement custom workflow functions. Polarion POP http://extensions.polarion.com/polarion/extensions/ may have some examples on how to do that. Regards, Ondrej

Re: Queries
The point is that it is not possible to query older revisions. In other words, the search operates only on the current version of items. That however does not mean that you cannot access the historical information - for any individual Work Item you can visit its "History" tab and click any...

Re: Queries
Hello, querying only works on the current (HEAD) version of data. Older revisions are not indexed and can be only displayed on the History tab as they are, or examined directly in the repository via SVN interface. I am not sure whether this answers your question. If not, please try to be more specif...

Re: Polarion as a CI system
Hello Maver, yes, nightly builds and support for CI is one of the features of Polarion ALM. You can configure arbitrary project build procedures, as many as you like and have them automatically invoked, results/errors reported by a configurable email notification and have the build results stored in...

Re: How to use with DB user!
Hi, SVNWebClient would always use the Subversion user accounts as it needs to perform reading and writing of repository resources on behalf of a concrete user. So you can either configure your Subversion repository to use an authentication mean applicable for you (like connecting to a DB instead of ...

Re: Page break in Wiki PDF export
Since version 3.3.1 up to the latest available, 2010 SR1, Polarion features macro {page-break} which replaces the former #pagebreak() and is fully documented. Excerpt from the Wiki Syntax Help: {page-break:VALUE} The {page-break} macro is applicable only in PDF export. It takes one required paramete...

Re: Using anchor in a Wiki page
Hi Richard, seems linking to an anchor on another page is not supported in the current version. The #HMyHeader part from your example is silently dropped. I forwarded this to our development team as a defect report. Thank you for the information. By checking the generated page source I meant using r...

Re: Using anchor in a Wiki page
Hi, all that you describe is part of Track & Wiki. Headings have an anchor associated automatically. The best way to find out their anchor name is to have {toc} generated and see, or you can inspect the page source. You'll note that the heading anchors are constructed from the heading text, havi...

Re: Permissions: a role that only sees a specific WorkItem Type
Dear woecki, ad Q1) Limiting access to Work Items by type is not possible at the moment. In case you need to separate access to groups of work items, the most recommendable solution for now is to separate the restricted and non-restricted items to different projects. ad Q2) The "sync svn access...

Re: Progress bar in wiki
Hello, if I understand right what you mean you might want to take a look at the example project in Polarion ALM - the Dashboard page is actually a Wiki page so you can reuse the constructs seen there. Sample Dashboard: http://almdemo.polarion.com/polarion/#/project/elibrary/dashboard (you may need t...
